BettorMind and Racing
The relationship between racing and betting is historic and the sport benefits greatly from the industry and the players within. Being able to maintain an audience of betting participants who through BettorMind can enjoy their play and make a difference to the sport is vital.
Racing betting activity is centred around the larger festivals and the big races. The clues to solving those puzzles can often be found elsewhere and again, looking at how the entertainment factor can be gained from areas before and after betting participation is a core component of sustainable play. Our BettorMind team have some great advice for you based on some very simple behaviours.
Do your research: The real fun in racing betting is being able to pick your own based on the information available. Don’t rely on tips from people you have never met or have no clue as to their ability. Do your own research on basics like form, performance at course and distance and the going and you’ll already be capable of narrowing the field. This is the same as being at a quiz or doing a puzzle. Don’t let the enjoyment from that belong to someone else.
Relationship with alcohol: If in attendance do consider your relationship with alcohol. If you are someone who feels braver and more tempted to through caution to the wind, then set your deposit limit and your time out length so you can stick to your plan.
Understand the offers: Racing is great for offers and value propositions. Even if they sound generous and simple do ensure you are fully aware of the terms. An ‘Informed Participant’ will always know what is involved and also how to use these to ensure a good run for money spent. Extra place races and money back offers are often great ways to keep your bankroll and planned spend on track.
Make your own decisions: Peer pressure is evident in all walks of life and BettorMind behaviour knows how to respond to these in betting. Your selections should be yours. Your decision to stake an amount should be yours also. If someone else is spending more that is personal to them. Even if they encourage you to spend more, or state that their pick is better than yours it is important to make your own decisions. Those decisions should always be based on our four key pillars and the key behaviours within them.
